Why New Year Resolutions Fail
Every year people set new year resolutions only for them to fail. But a few manage to keep their commitments, these few go through life setting and achieving goals. But what is their secret? How can you achieve your new year resolutions for 2014? What would you achieve if you new you could achieve all of your goals?
Pain is the key to achieving any goal and new years resolution. Think about it. Ther only time anyone achives any goal is through pain. When do you diet? Only when you’re sick of looking so overweight, or when a doctor tells you your life is in danger. You may want to look great, but this is never enough to stick to a diet. You can think about the pleasure of your goals, and they may motivate you a little, but the real motivator is always pain.
So think about the pain of your new years resolution. What will happen if you don’t achieve it? What will the pain be? The more you think about the pain, the more motivated you will be.
Secondly, people always think about the goal. But the goal is never enough. To keep motivated, don’t just think about the goal, think about how achieving the goal will change your life. How will achieving your goal affect your life positively? How will achiveing your goal chnage your relationshiops? Your career? Your future?
To achieve your 2014 New Year resolution. First think about the pain of why you MUST change, and the pleasure (outcome) of achieving this change.
