An example of this is a common question we all ask our loved ones when they return home from work;
“How was your day?” This common question seems, on the face of it, incident. But your loved one can talk about the best or worst parts of their day. If they discuss the negative aspects of their day, they will feel bad.
If they focus on the positives, they will feel good. If you are hoping the make your loved one feel good, a better question to ask would be “What did you enjoy most about your day, today?”
