3 Steps To Create Personal Change

 

 

Everyone at one point wants to make personal change, to improve their life, to fulfil their dreams and to live their life to the full

Many may desire personal change but rarely do they achieve this simple ambition. What stops you when you want to make a change?

There are 3 steps we all need to take when we want to create personal change, once followed you will find change can happen quickly

Step 1 To Create Personal Change

 

Know what you want

Many people have generic goals “I want to be a millionaire” Rubbish! This isn’t what you want, let me ask you, “why do you want to be a millionaire?”

What does this goal give you? financial freedom, love, happiness? What is the why to your goal?

Lets say you want to be a millionaire because you want to be happy. If you had the choice between being poor and happy or being rich and miserable what would you choose? If you choose happiness then happiness should be your goal.

Many of us set goals that we don’t really want, which is why we easily give up on this ambition. Think about the why of your goal and make this why the goal.

Next ask what do I need to do to be happy (insert own goal here) This now becomes the milestones to achieving your real goal.

When you know what you really want you are more likely to take action to create personal change

Step 2 To Create Personal Change

 

Check your barriers

There are always barriers to a goal, or you would have already achieved it

The mistake many make is that they don’t anticipate the barriers and when they walk into a wall they fall flat on there back and find it hard to get up

Once you predict the barriers you can plan how you will overcome them, you can build up your resources and skills to make this barrier an easy problem to solve and as the barrier appears you will be confident, as you have already predicted this would happen

Step 3 To Create Personal Change

 

Take immediate action

It is easy to plan a goal, look at the require steps and even gather your required resources, but the only way you will achieve your goal is by taking action

Don’t allow procrastination to take over, there is never any point in leaving anything to the last minute and if you leave any task until tomorrow, you will find that, tomorrow never comes

Goal achievers always take immediate action; they set a goal, record the steps needed and action at least one straight away, knowing that this movement will be contagious. As you tick off your to do list you feel more motivated to take more action, achieving your goal before your predicted deadline
