Motivation is the key ingredient for success. When setting a new goal a lack of motivation will result in procrastination and procrastination leads to a real lack in action.

 

You need to learn to increase your mental motivation, opening the doors to success. These 5 ways to increase mental motivation are easy to implement, allowing you to take your motivation to the next level.

 

There are 5 steps we all need to take when we want to create mental motivation, once followed you will find you will achieve your goals quicker then you believe

1. Don’t Just Set Random Goals

 

There are so many life coaches who simply set random goals and wonder why they never make any real headway.

 

We are not motivated by goals, we are motivated by the outcome of the goal. It is this outcome, the changes that will happen as you achieve your goal which creates motivation.

 

The question you should be asking before thinking about setting a goal is – what is the purpose? what do you want to happen? what outcome do you desire?

 

When you set a new goal check it meets your purpose.

 

 

2. Create Focus

 

When wanting to make big changes we tend to get excited about future possibilities.

 

This excitement is good, but it often leads to you setting numerous goals. Often, for most people, having to many small goals becomes overwhelming, after a few weeks you have started several new task, but not completed one goal, which can end with demotivation.

 

Instead, focus, start one or two goals and achieve them before you start your third or forth goal.

 

Each achieved goal creates higher levels of mental motivation as you see yourself moving forward.

3. Relax, Off Load

 

Focusing on a new goal creates desire – you want the outcome of the goal….NOW

 

To gain your goal you have to work, work, work. This overworking can tier you out mentally as well as physically. You work best when you are in the right motivated frame of mind.

 

Ensure you make time to relax, mediate, off load. Having time to relax, to take time away from work, is highly beneficial as you get to recharge your batteries. This recharge ensures you work towards your goals in a positive state.

4. Hydrate

When setting goals and making changes you will focus on the goals, the milestones and the actions you need to take.

As well as having a focus on action, you need to keep your body healthy by eating the right healthy foods and drinking your allocated water intake (around 1.5ltrs for females and 1 ltrs for males)

5. Award Yourself

Making a life change takes hard work and time.

 

To keep yourself mentally motivated you need to award yourself everytime your complete a difficult task or achieve a key goal or milestone.

 

Awards become the carrot that will keep you pushing yourself.
