Is their a secret to achieving goals? We all set goals, at some level or another, but why do certain people have more success in achieving goals?
What 3 simple things can you do to increase the chances of achieving your personal goals?
Step 1 Commit Fully
Many people set goals but don’t fully commit. If you are serious about achieving your goal you have to put one hundred percent into the task.
To achieve a big goal you first to set milestones. With each milestone, your learn, develop and grow. On this learning journey, you will make mistakes, get it wrong and often feel frustrated. Without commitment you will easily give up at the first hurdle.
Commitment is the key to determination and determination creates action
Step 2 Change the Plan, When Necessary
To achieve a large goal, takes, depending on the goal, months or even years. Technology, politics, your personal life, natural disasters and a hundred other things can effect your goal.
Sometimes sticking to the letter of a goal can be a detrimental to your success. When necessary you may need to go with the flow, a door open may give you new opportunities that you hadn’t thought about when you set your original goal or a new technology may open new options.
Step 3 Don’t Be a Sheep
Thinking out of the box, using your initiative and doing what others wouldn’t dare to can be the key to your success.
Its the person who launches the product, the person who has the new idea or the person who creates the thing that others only dream off is the person others won’t to be.
We all have these ideas, suggestions and thoughts but many of us are to scared to do anything about it. Often achieving your goal creates courage. Courageousness creates action.
