3 Steps To Dream Big
In general, most goal setters think small.
We hear people say “I want to be a millionaire” but in reality, the realism of this goal is zero, so the individual thinks small, setting small goals.
It is only a small few who dream big and follow through, and here’s what they do…..
Step 1 To Dream Big
When deciding to be successful, no matter if this is to own your own multi-million pound business, become an Olympic athlete or to speak at TED, your first automated action is to compare yourself to others
This contrast between you and someone who is already successful creates self-doubt. Naturally you start to think of the skills, contacts or start in life, that they have and you don’t.
People who dream big don’t care that they might not possess X, Y and Z, they don’t believe that they have to wait until their knowledge, skills and experience increases, instead they take action
They simply think big, set several big steps and take action. By attempting the impossible something positive will come from it.
Step 2 To Dream Big
Create a big vision
Big dreamers don’t juts dream about one goal, instead they have a vision.
There vision will effect them and others. There dream maybe to cure a deadly disease saving billions of lives or to create innovative technology that will change the world. John F Kennedy in a speech committed to the American people that he would land a rocket on the moon, before scientist knew that this was a reality.
Your dream shouldn’t be a goal, it should be a vision
Step 3 To Dream Big
When dreaming big you will make mistakes, have set backs and even face confrontation
Small goals are easily achieved, but when you dream big you need to stay motivated throughout the whole journey. The duration of you now and you achieving your big dream, your vision, may take longer then you initially believed, but remember the outcome, what will change once you are successful, as this positive mindset creates motivation
