3 Ways to Stay on the Motivation Track
Staying motivated takes energy, no-one is naturally motivated all the time.
If you imagine a track runner. The athlete is motivated by their goal to win a race. To achieve this goal they practice, gather knowledge from experts and create motivational strategies
The strategies they use keep them motivated even on those days, that we all have, when they feel demotivated
Stay on The Motivational Track #1
At the beginning many people make the mistake of focusing on a big goal.
Having along term plan is a good thing, but initially you want your focus to be on a small task. By having a focus on small goals, you will find that they are achieved easily. Each goal achieved creates motivation, keeping you on track.
The athlete doesn’t focus initially on running 100 meters in 10 seconds, instead the runner has a smaller goal to focus. With each goal achieved, you set new challenges while staying motivated
To stay on the motivational track, focus first on small achievable goals. Momentum creates motivation
Stay on The Motivational Track #2
Create motivational habits.
Humans are habitual creatures. Once we have embedded process we can act without thinking. Create your own motivational habits to keep you on track.
The athlete we have a daily routine; wake, run, eat nutritiously…
Your new habit could include morning affirmations, daily exercise, time set task, strategies for dealing with problems, etc
It doesn’t matter what your habit is as long as your habit keeps you motivated
Stay on The Motivational Track #3
Create motivational lessons
All athletes when increasing their abilities through practice and competitions will at some point fail. Maybe a new strategy, diet, trainer or exercise routine didn’t work as predicted. The difference between success and failure is your perspective.
A successful athlete will reflect and analyse each mistakes and failure. With insight comes attention, they now know what they need to do to become successful. A new plan is formed, motivation created and before long success achieved
