Believe in the impossible!!

 

The reason most people lose motivation for any new years eve resolution or goal, is because they focus on themselves in the present.

 

Instead you need to believe in the impossible. When you believe in the what is possible your mind will evolve to achieve this goal.  Prior to running a mile in 4 minutes in 1954 Roger Bannister believed in the impossible, when others didn’t.

 

Once Bannister achieved the impossible, the impossible became possible and others achieved the same goal

 

 

Don’t focus on you now, to get motivated focus on what is possible – you can do it! When you believe that you can, you will

Reflect on your progress

 

As you work towards a new goal, you make progress. Your progress maybe slow, fast, conscious or unconscious. Most people, due to the initial progress being slow, don’t realise they are actually making progress

 

 

This lack of knowledge of their own achievement kills any level of motivation.

 

Each research, activity undertook and mistake made is progress. You need to pick specific points to reflect and review your distance traveled. As you see yourself moving forward, step by step, you will feel more motivated.

 

When motivation drops remember where you were before you started to journey of your goal

Focus on what you don’t have now!

 

There is a reason you set a new goal or a new years resolution

 

What motivated you to set this goal.

  • What was missing from your life?
  • What did you want to get rid of in your life?
  • What was causing you upset?

By focusing on the negative things in your life that you want to get away from you will create a “pain” motivational pull to help you achieve your new goal
