3 Ways To Sell Coach Yourself

Step 1 Create the Goal
The first task a coach will help you with is setting your goal.
To self coach you need to get specific. Many coaches have generic goals. The problem here is a generic goal doesn’t get you motivated – to increase motivation you need a specific goal.
Get your generic goal and break this down. Lets say you want to be happy – this is really generic. Ask “in what area do I want to be happy in?” or with a weight lost example, ask, “how much weight do I want to lose?”
A specific goal feels real, helping you to create action
Step 2 Take Action
Once you have an established goal, a life coach will next try to make you to take action
Taking action is the key reason for having a coach. Action creates momentum and momentum equals motivation.
To take action you first need to work backwards. Ask what three things do you need to do to start to achieve your goal? Once you have a list of actions pick the easiest goal and do it right now!
Immediate action creates immediate motivation. Once motivated you will take more action.
Step 3 Reflect on Your Actions
A good coach gets you to reflect on your actions and learn from your experience
At the end of each action, you need to stop and reflect. Think about your goal, the actions you took and ask yourself “what could you have done better or differently to achieve your goal?”
Reflection helps you to make better choices. From your reflective position you can create a new plan of action (or maybe you will realize that you have done everything well!)
Even when you are successful continue to use reflection to improve and develop yourself
