Take action and give it a tick.

The brain releases dopamine when you see a task being completed.  It doesn’t matter if the task is big or small, the mind instead focuses on the pleasure of having completed something.

If you have a bog task, break this down into several small task, and as you complete each small step tick this off on a sheet. Each tick will set of the pleasure response in your mind

This even works for task you can remember, so write it down and tick it off

Get in the creative flow

 

When being created we become highly focused. This flow state increase dopamine.

 

Whatever task you are doing, this doesn’t have to be an artistic task, get creative. Use mind-mapping, diagrams, sing the speech you are preparing, or doodle the report you are writing. Find away to be innovative and creative, this will increase the flow of dopamine, helping you to enjoy the task more

Get moving

Instead move; run, hop, walk, dance, rock climb, swim…it doesn’t matter what you do, but get that body moving

Reflect, don’t forget

 

We often forget our successes.

 

Every day you should reflect on your key achievements, the work you have put, when you have been creative, when you multi-tasked, when you achieved a goal or millstone, when you learnt something new

 

Realizing your distance traveled, your growth, your achievements helps you to feel successful, releasing more dopamine chemicals. This reflect practice is a key step to help you to evolve your mind.

Eat the right food and drink lots of water

 

There are some power foods; foods that help to increase dopamine

 

For breakfast have avocado on toast, eat almonds throughout the day, bananas for lunch, chicken for tea and drink green tea…there are plenty more for you to research too

 

Also, hydrate your body drink fresh water – around 2.5 liters a day

Play upbeat music and dance

 

Listening to your favorite music increase dopamine. For some thsi is through positive association, for other types of music the beat gets you going, or maybe you listen to relaxing music that helps you to relax and meditate
