Why Life’s Default Is Killing Your Happiness
The simple human with his complex brain is a habitual creature.
We unconsciously live our life through habits and patterns, taking cues from other people around us. We think that by having a “conscious and logical brain” that we are not influenced by others, that we are in control, that we are the masters of our actions.
The truth is that the evolved mind still takes its lead from the original pre-evolved reptilian brain. It is this part of your mind that follows the default of life, the default that is killing your happiness

Because we as humans, survive though our group mentality, we had a subconscious bias. This bias is formed through other peoples actions – we are sheep following other sheep.
Because we learn from observational learning, we take our cues from others. If others party we feel we should party too. If we see people losing weight through exercise, that is the means in which you will attempt to lose weight (you might not of even considered that you wanted to lose weight)
Even our opinions and beliefs are influenced by what others do. At the extreme, social proof can cost someone a life. If someone is seen in the street dieing, but everyone ignores the injured party and walks past the, most people will follow suit, and ignore the individual who needs help.

“I don’t like green grass”
Because we often act like sheep, following our leader (the group majority) we do as others do, even if we don’t like it.
The sheep might not like a particular type of green grass, but because the rest of the flock are munching away, he does too.
We humans are the same (in the majority) we act as others do, we follow their example, we stick to what we believe is the norm. This is why people need a new life plan. To feel fulfilled you need your life plan to meet the criteria that will make you happy, joyful and fulfilled.
Reflect on your life and find 3 things you need to change, 3 things that will empower you, creating additional happiness. Step out of the habit of normality and try something new, the thing you have always wanted to do.
