3 Must Haves in Your Morning Routine
The morning is key for your daily motivation.
If you start the morning on the right-side of bed, you create more success. A morning routine is important as it sets your state for the day, and your state changes your behavior, from stress to success
These are 3 must haves to get your day on the right track
Get Your Day Going #1
A positive routine
To create a successful day you need a positive routine. Routines become habits, at some stage after repeating your positive routine over and over again, you’ll create a subconscious habit that breeds success.
A positive routine should start with a daily get up time. From this jump straight into your first activity; exercise or meditation (or a similar activity) By having a focus at the start of your day, you don’t over a cup of coffee worry about the forthcoming day.
Exercise and mind exercises change your brain wave pattern creating a more positive state.
Next drink water – people always underestimate the importance of drinking enough water each day. Get your body hydrated. Finally plan your day – write a list of what you have to do and pick one task to complete straight away, as momentum creates motivation.
Get Your Day Going #2
On your way to work do something nice for someone. This could be as simple as a smile to a stranger on train, or giving someone 10 pence in the coffee house to stop breaking into a note or helping an old lady cross the road
If you cant find an opportunity take a fruit box into work for all to share or be the first person to make around of coffees.
We feel good when we are charitable. This positive internal feeling will help boost the rest of your day
Get Your Day Going #3
Take control
People feel stressed at the days start as they feel they have no control. They see a list of task or problems and feel stuck. Look at everything that comes your way and be in control. Use Do, Delegate or Delete to take action.
The things that you don’t need know, don’t have to do simple ignore these, delete them out of your life. These aren’t for you to worry. People will often put their problems onto you – give them back.
Check if others can do the task for you. Who in your department is an expert in this task, what can you delegate or ask others to do. You don’t have to do everything yourself, even if you’re responsible for it. Look at what can be outsourced
Finally there are the task that you can do. Without the stress of other tasks you can feel happy as you put your full effort into these goals that you want to achieve
